Born on a beautiful spring day the same year that Metallica’s Master of Puppets was released, Hilary Pollack has written hundreds (and edited thousands) of incredibly interesting stories about cultural ephemera. She has reviewed the terrible martinis at the Trump Tower bar, explored the nostalgic resonance of shoegaze, and interviewed countless founders, musicians, chefs, and other fascinating people. She is currently the senior commerce editor at esteemed food website Eater. Prior to that, she curated reviews about cool brands and products as the editorial director for VICE‘s shopping content. For a more comprehensive overview of her work experience, please visit her LinkedIn.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art Practice from University of California, Berkeley. In addition to alongside her written work, her photographs have been published in SPIN, GQ, Seventeen, STATE, and Land magazines. She is also a painter and occasionally books shows.

Now based in Los Angeles, she enjoys live music with heavy synthesizers, unique hotel lobbies, Pilates, power clashing, and driving long distances to eat at hole-in-the-wall restaurants.
